Mayor of Peterborough & Peterborough city councillor for Hampton Vale
Marco has represented Hampton Vale since 2016, joining the Cabinet two years later where his wider experience has proved invaluable. His Conservative co-councillor for Hampton Vale ward is Lindsay Sharp.
First elected to the city council in 1995, representing Orton Waterville ward, Marco was an enthusiastic member of the twinning and international committee then known as the European Board. He ended this first period as councillor as chairman of the Works Board, returning in 2007 to represent the former ward of Stanground Central. He served as Conservative group leader between 2009 and 2015 when he lost his election.
